Course Outline
Choose either an Elementary School or Junior High School/High School focus
Lesson 1
- Course Introduction & Manor House Tour
Review course objectives, discuss MEXT curriculum guidelines, and enjoy a guided tour of the British Hills Manor House.
Lesson 2
- Introduction to CLT
Analyse your own teaching style, discuss the benefits of communicative classrooms, and explore PPP and TBL methodologies.
Lesson 3
- Classroom English
Master effective "Classroom English." Identify key phrases for instructions for setting up activities and learn to use ICQs and CCQs correctly and confidently.
Lesson 4 & 5
- Communicative Activities (Double Lesson)
Go over a booklet of activities, identify how to use them for fun lessons, and access the online materials maker.
Lesson 6 & 7
- Lesson Creation and Presentation
Create a full CLT lesson plan (PPP or TBL), prepare materials, and present to the class for feedback.
