Hi there, my name is Matt and I am from a small town called South Shields in the UK. It is not a very well known place, but in 1977 world famous American boxer Muhammed Ali came to visit when he was invited to help raise money for a local boxing club.

I came to Fukushima Japan, in January 2019 to try something different, celebrating my birthday on the flight over! I really enjoy living here and working at British Hills. I feel very lucky to be here as I only intended to stay in Japan for 1 year and now I don't want to leave.

Things I really enjoy doing are playing video games, watching American football & Formula 1, sleeping, eating and travelling around Japan.

Some surprising facts about me:

• I played American football at university.
• I was a member of the cheerleading team at university.
• I am a big Disney fan.
