AC/DC

AC/DC is Australia’s greatest rock band.
They are famous for many songs, including “You Shook Me All Night Long” and “Highway to Hell”, but their best song is “Thunderstruck”.
They are also famous for drinking a lot of alcohol and wild partying.
AC/DC were very popular in the 1980’s, but still tour to this day.
Their album, Back in Black (1980) is one of the best rock and roll albums ever made and the second highest-selling album of all time.

INXS

Another famous Australian band who could manage no more than four letters for their name, is rock band INXS.
They were very popular during the 1980’s, but nowadays no one could name any of their songs.
INXS’ frontman was Michael Hutchence. His curly hair and sultry good-looks made him irresistible to women… until he died in an unfortunate accident.

​Kylie Minogue

Kylie Minogue is Australia’s most famous singer. She was especially popular in the UK and is responsible for a song called the “Locomotion”.
She became popular in the 1980’s after appearing on Australian TV-drama, Neighbours. During the 1980’s Kylie’s hair was particularly on point (“on point” means “very good”).
She became popular again in the late 1990’s with songs like “Spinning Around” and “I Just Can’t Get You Out of My Head”.
She also once appeared in the movie version of Street Fighter, a strong contender for worst movie of all time.
