Hi, I’m Eve. I’m from Johannesburg, South Africa. Johannesburg is called the “City of gold” because we mine mostly gold.
I first visited Japan in 2017 as a tourist. Then four months later, I ended up packing my bags and moving here (that was just over a year ago). Before I lived in Fukushima I taught English conversation at an international high school in Nara. Since Nara is quite central, I was able to explore many cities in Japan. To date, I’ve visited 12 prefectures and I plan to visit a few more still. My favourite prefecture so far though has been Hiroshima, I really enjoyed of all it’s history and beauty.
My interests include travelling, baking, scuba diving, watching series and movies, water colour painting and reading. My favourite travel memory was getting my PADI license abroad and doing my first dive. I also enjoy adventure sports such as bungee jumping, parasailing, zip lining and four wheeling (I recently went four wheeling in the Namib Desert!). I’m a huge Harry Potter fan and I’ve visited USJ about 7 times already. Come talk to me about Harry Potter anytime. I look forward to meeting you and having fun with English!
