Six years ago, I left my home in Jamaica to live and work in Fukushima, Japan. During that time, I’ve lived
in beautiful Aizu for five years, in Yamagata City for a short time, and then returned to Fukushima. Initially I decided to come to Japan for a new experience, and because of the opportunity to help others achieve their language goal and the confidence they need for language learning. I have stayed because I want to continue helping others, and because of the kind people and wonderful natural surroundings here. Since being here, I have tried ice skating, skiing, snowboarding, and hiking. Other things I enjoy are listening to music, making paper flowers, and seeing others achieve their goals. My proudest achievement was probably being born. Before leaving Japan, I want to visit at least three other prefectures. I’ve only been to Chiba, Iwate, Tochigi, Okinawa, Kyoto, Osaka, Nara, Miyagi, Tokyo and a few others. If you see me around, you can tell me your recommendation of where to visit next. Thanks! |
