Hello there, my name is James Molloy and I’m from the UK. I’ve been a teacher here at British Hills for almost a year. While I’ve been a teacher here for almost a year, my journey at British Hills started in May 2012 when I started working at the reception desk as a member of the working holiday team. I worked on the reception desk for one year and then went back home to the UK for a short time before returning to Japan to work in Tokyo for just over a year as an English teacher.
I didn’t always think I would be an English teacher though. Actually, when I lived in the UK, I trained as a brewer for seven years. A “Brewer” is a person who makes beer! Beer is obviously nice to drink but it’s also a very interesting science.
My hobbies include going to the gym, socialising with friends, reading, but lately a lot of my free time has been taken up with running. I’ve really enjoyed going running and last November I ran the Kobe marathon. As I write this now, I’m a couple of weeks away from competing in the Tokyo marathon, where I hope to improve upon my last finishing time.
This is Wiltshire and it’s where I grew up. Wiltshire is rather a strange part of England as nobody really seems to know about it, even people from England! Though it’s mostly unknown, it is very beautiful and is home to the very famous world heritage site Stonehenge! Other parts of Wiltshire also have a lot of crop circles which are sometimes intricate, massive circular shapes pressed into the fields of growing crops! Some people believe they were made by magical forces or even aliens!! What do you think?
